I am proud to present the Trike of the month for May 2003

I am the retired State dir of Kansas and dir of Kan. chapter Open Prairie Trikers. My wife found our trike at a garage sale in 1993 we had it rebuilt to my design and Titled in 1994. It is just a basic VW trike the frame is home made by a person that had never made a trike before and he used a bicycle type frame to copy and put a big rake on the front end this was a big mistake the front fork must be held at all times or it shakes real bad. We replace the front end with a more normal rake it helps but as you can see the front has no support from the rear of the trike before we sell the trike I plan on putting some braces from the rear step to the front foot pegs just havent got around to it yet. It has a 1600cc Bug eng 4 speed transmassion and we have put around 20,000 trouble free mile on it so far. It is great fun to ride around town, but a ride of 160 miles is great pain. So we are building a new road trike with a type 4 and full auto will send you a picture when it is done. Kenny Flower
